For Patients

info-for-patientsYour care is our primary concern. Women’s & Breast Imaging gives you the respect and attention you deserve, in a professional manner, while maintaining a friendly and considerate atmosphere.

We want to ensure you understand your exam, how to prepare for it and what to expect. We want you to feel absolutely comfortable before you arrive so that you feel totally confident when you’re here.

Doctor’s Referral

You must have a referral from your GP or specialist before making an appointment with Women’s & Breast Imaging.

When you book your appointment we will ask you for certain pieces of information. These questions may vary depending on the type of exam(s) you are to have and are to ensure your health and safety.

It is vitally important that you inform us if you are pregnant or have allergies.

What to bring with you

Generally the answer is; just yourself. Should you have any previous scans or imaging please make sure to bring them along. We will inform you if there is anything in particular that you need to bring with you when you make your appointment.

Preparing for your examination

There may be specific things you need to do, or not do, depending on which kind of exam you are going to have. More information can be found by downloading the specific brochure for your exam (below).

Once you’re here

Simply relax. Our courteous staff will guide you through every step of the process and will always take care to ensure your examination is done promptly, with minimal discomfort and maximum privacy and discretion.

The results are immediately reviewed and further imaging is sometimes required. This is a common occurrence and should not cause undue alarm; it does not imply an abnormality has been found.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact us.
